5. Autocorrect


AutoCorrect is the feature in Word that corrects commonly misspelled words immediately when the space bar or enter key is pressed. This feature changes “teh” to “the” automatically as as you type.

AutoCorrect can also be used to replace a misspelled word with an entire paragraph of text and formatted fields. By creating your own “misspelled" words you can create a code that efficiently enters large amounts of information into the body of your report. Exploiting AutoCorrect in this manner is an efficient way to store all of your descriptive paragraphs, data tables, recommendations, and commonly used phrases so they can be deployed with a few keystrokes. 

AutoCorrect becomes useful for saving and quickly inserting everything from long complicated coded paragraphs and data tables, to commonly used phrases. As you turn to AutoCorrect instead of Cut & Paste, you will discover additional uses that make your writing more efficient.
