REF Fields (i.e. Reference Fields) simply display information that was entered in a previous field. These fields are valuable for repeating information multiple times throughout a report (e.g. student's first name). They are also useful for referring to standardized test scores when describing test performance in the body of your report (e.g. Student obtained a standard score of [ ] .)

REF Fields are easily inserted with Ctrl+F9. This command will add a grey field box with braces.
The Syntax looks like this:
{ REF Bookmark }
Note: It will not work if you add braces { } to a regular Form Text Field. You must use Ctrl+F9 to begin a REF Field.
To view the hidden codes in all of your fields, use Alt+F9.
